The Exciting Opportunity:
This high-profile senior leadership position has become available and you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all group Corporate Support Services including Payroll, AP/AR and Oracle Support.
The priority is that Payroll services are delivered efficiently & on time whilst meeting strict payroll deadlines. The position requires you to have strong experience managing a payroll team who deliver complex payroll services for 800+ employees, across multiple sites working across multiple EBA’s.
Please note that you are managing the Oracle Support Team and will not be responsible for technical IT related matters as they have a separate IT Team and Manager who will focus on the technical matters – this is purely the ‘people management’ aspect for the team.
You will be responsible for:
- Leadership of a team of 14 – 16 (including Oracle Support, Payroll, AP/AR)
- Management of Service Level Agreements for the delivery of Corporate Support Services to the business
- Preparation and submission of Payment Times Reports
- Preparation and submission of WGEA reporting
- Monitoring and analysis of budget
- Project Management and overseeing system upgrades and liaison with vendors
- Ensure operational alignment with strategic goals
- Improvement strategies and transformation, ensuring the corporate services function is aligned with the business
- Manage business processes for corporate support functions (transaction processing and payroll) ensuring relevance, accuracy, compliance, and innovative continuous improvement to align with ERP
- Development and maintain accurate up to date process documentation underpinning ERP
- Change advocate – evaluate and challenge the performance, ease of use and ongoing purpose/relevancy of all aspects of our transnational data and processes and be an advocate for positive change
- Proactively identifies business needs and issues, working with business process owners to solve functional problems, explaining functional process improvement opportunities, and working to build consensus
- Convert business needs to functional process designs and lead business stakeholders toward design decisions
- Driving and support a culture of cooperation and collaboration between Corporate Services and business units.
- Engagement with senior stakeholders to identify, communicate and remediate issues
- Streamline and simplify ERP transactional processes
- Provide support, coaching and advice to your team including training & development
- Ensure ERP is configured with appropriate, and approvals are in line with procedures and delegation of authority
- Ensure change management processes and approvals and followed in accordance with operating standards
Essential Criteria:
- Exceptional people leader skills
- Must have managed a large multi-site payroll team delivering services to 800+ employees
- Strong knowledge of Payroll and Statutory requirements for the payroll function
- Must be conversant with all Payroll Statutory requirements
- Implementation and management of ERP systems and process mapping
- Strong experience with creation and embedding of ERP process documentation
- Development of ERP manuals and training documentation
- Experience implementing and maintaining Service Level Agreements
- Change Management
- Strong transactional processing experience
- Proven delivery of accurate and detailed reporting
- Capability of influencing and directing senior management and line management
