The Exciting Opportunity:

Our client is looking to fill a permanent full time or part time Senior Registered Nurse position based in their Gwelup Residential Aged Care Facility. We are looking for a passionate and talented AHPRA Registered Senior RN’s who loves working in aged care looking after the elderly.

Here are the shifts for the Part Time AM SHIFT Roster:

• Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday possibly Sunday – AM Shifts – 7am – 3.15pm
• Week 2 – Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday – AM Shifts – 7am – 3.15pm

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

• Provide high quality, safe and effective nursing care that aligns with the individual residents’ preferences in line with the individuals care plans
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care – update care plans
• Mentoring and coaching junior clinical staff and supervising carers
• Contribute to the allocation of workload to ensure quality care is received by all residents
• Serious incident reporting
• Ensure that all clinical care is delivered to the highest standard in line with the Aged Care Standards
• Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and manage requirements appropriately
• Deal with any crisis situations during shift and alert relevant services and families
• Support residents and their families by responding to queries and feedback in liaison with the Clinical Care Manager
• Attending to wound care
• Safe administration of medication
• Maintaining clinical documentation to a high standard in a timely manner including ACFI information
• Adhere to clinical accreditation standards

The Successful Candidate:

• Must be an experienced RN with current AHPRA registration
• Experience in residential aged care with understanding of new Aged Care Standards
• Looking for Permanent Full Time or Part Time employment
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance
• Must be fully Covid & Flu Vaccinated and happy to have appropriate boosters
• Highly organised, work well under pressure and have strong planning skills
• Able to identify clinical risk in the aged care setting
• Flexible in responding to changing resident needs
